Yep, theres no difference in the way they sit or operate, I think the later valvers had different mounts thats all. The thrust bearing sits on the input shaft of the gearbox between the clutch spring plate and the box

well, i'll get the release bearing changed poss next weekend and if its cured then i'll post some pics up how i did it for future reference.

if not, i'll firstly cry, then possibly drop the gear box off and change the whole clutch setup. maybe a new sachs clutch or something...

theeen if that deosnt work, and by this point i'll not be a happy chappy, i'll get a new box. throw the old one in a pont and curse it to hell. one thing after another at the moment, door window mech snapped this morning and window just dropped into the door... good job im parked in works car park well away from the road.
