Lowest offset on 7x15 without rubbing?

Just wondering on 7x15"s what is the lowest offset you can go without rubbing?
The car has standard small bumper arches and ride height.
Tyres most likely to be 195/45/15

I think mine are et25 or thereabouts. On a 40mm drop they rub a little standard suspension should be pretty ok, but doubt it'd look as good

I've got 7.5*15 ET25 Ronal LSs on mine with 195/45 tyres, when standard GTI height there were tons of space between arch and tyre so you'll have no issues there in terms of rubbing, the problem you will have if you go too far either way with positive or negative offset is either sticking out too far or coming in too close to the shocks. You could probably go to ET20 or so with standard ride height.

In fact if you look at my pic in my sig you'll see the gaps between tyres and arches when it was standard ride height, coilovers have been put on since to rectify the 4*4 look

I've got ET28 up front and ET18 at the back with a 40mm drop, 195/50 tires.  No rubbing up front (eagle F1s) but the rears rubbed untill I fitted falken ze512s, which have a 'stretched look' so tuck in more than the average 195/50 tire.
195/45s will probably give you enough clearance though!  I've also had ET24 front & rear with 195/50 tires (toyo ts1-r all round), rears were no problem but the fronts did catch on harsh bumps and very uneven camber roads.
