Got mine January 06 and since then i must have spent more than 2k on her, mixture of mods and mantinence but well worth it as she runs well sweet now. Most recently shes been treated to new relays 30 and 167 and she approves :wink:

ive owned my current one 2 months, owned my first golf gti 10 years ago when i was 18!! god i feel old :(

1.5 years, most of my cars last under a year before I get bored so it's good going so far  :smiley:

bought the Rado just before edition38 last year so almost exactly a year! had my mk2 turbo about 3yrs though which is the longest i have kept anything!  :smiley:

Coming up for 7 years now, some guy traded it in, for a 98 Peugeot 306.. that had around 60k on the clock, he paid around 5k for the 306, and I allowed £500 for his GTI
After the deal was done the guy disapeared into to the sunset, happy with his new investment, and never to be seen again! In the meantime the Golf was valeted, it had sawdust and wood chippings eveywhere, turned out the Golf was actually a one family owned car from new, with a full VAGSH, 71k jade green minter! completely rust free!
Ive covered just over 1k in it in the last 6+yrs
I decided to paint the car a couple of years ago, as the origional lacquer was starting to deterioate, im still in the process of screwing it all back together!!!!
best of all is the grin that I find myself with! when I think of the value now, of that guys 306 that he traded the 16v in for  :evil: :evil:
