yes if you have 239mm then you need late 16v hubs also

iirc it depends on year of the car as to whether the hubs would need changing, if you can unbolt the carriers then you dont need to change the hubs, if they are fixed carriers then you need to change them

Hi guys is the caliper ,carrier & disc on the 280mm brakes different to the 256mm or is it just the discs & and the carrier, I'm struggling to understand the advantake of the 280mm brakes when the srrface area being clamped is exactlythe same, as the pad is no bigger?

its also the clamping force applied further out. all about leverage. if you want to lever something heavy, the longer the lever the easier it is. same thing with brakes really.
