Does everybody try and race u or is it just me!

I've only had this a couple of times in the golf.  More often than not I end up getting asked to race when I'm in my mates Corsa as it's totally standard except for alloys, exhaust and tinted windows.... from the outside.  They get quite a shock when I put my foot down and leave them - 2.0 Cavalier engine, ported, polished, gas flowed, race cams, lightened/balanced fly wheel/clutch, twin webbers and nothing but the dash and 2 bucket seats inside

The boys round where I live no better than to try and race me
Tho I do get the odd one that gets confused when they see the child seat in the back of the GTI

It just seems to be other Golfs that try to race me in my VR6.

I've gone up against Modded mk1s & mk2s, mk2 Rallyes, Mk3 16vs & VR6s, and a spanking new R32 the other day.

The rallyes are tricky to keep up with round the corners.  The R32 kicked my bottom.

I'm gonna get a Mk4 4Motion and turbocharge it.  It's time for payback.
