What tool?
« on: 14 June 2007, 17:31 »
I'm looking to take off the inlet manifold on a KR engine. I cant fit the socket in between the "pipes".

Any ideas what i could use?

A long allen key just wont give me the torque I need and I really dont want to round the studs!!!!

I used a Halfords allen socket 3/8" drive it slipped in like a good un and didn't even worry the bolts. :)

I have a Teng 6mm allen socket and it wont even look at the gap!!!

I'll try another and see if that will peak through!!

How did you get your injectors out of the way to get the manifold off?

Got sorted....used a 3/8 instead of a 1/4" socket.

Ever the optimist! my method involved a lot of swearing and in the end taking the manifold off with the injectors in and swearing a whole lot more whilst brandishing mole grips
