How do i fix my rev counter and mfa?

when i bought my golf 8v 90 spec the rev counter was working then just stopepd. is there anything that would cause this? also my mfa has stopped working, i have removed the clocks is there anything i can do to fix them without replacing?

There are a lot of threads on this. I dont think you can repair the clocks easily. Best bet ebay.
Have you:
1) tried pulling the dash fuse for 30 secs
2) checked and cleaned the connections to the coil
3) checked and cleaned the valve cover to coil bracket earth strap
