Budget coilovers??? Spring/shock kit???
« on: 12 June 2007, 23:09 »
Hi. Does anyone on here supply budget coilovers or know of someone who sells coilovers for mk2 golfs? There are sets available on ebay for £189, has anyone tried these? My mate mentoined somone on club polo who sells them for £200 and they are Jamex badged up as another brand. What do you recommend on a budget??? Huw

Which spring/shock kit would be best? Weitec at £250? Koni adjustables? Let me know what is best.

imo i would save a few more pennies and buy some weitecs, i`ve heard it would be better to buy a good spring&shock set up than the cheap coilovers

i have some supersport coilovers which cost 350 bucks inc VAT, they are ok but i wish i'd have saved a bit more cash and bought the FK's. Mine are quite a harsh ride so would be more suited to track days etc.

My mate has just put on a set of FK's and is very happy with them, not too stiff but stiff enough! Only paid about £300 for them new.

Ok, following Vaughn's advice, which spring/shock set up is best, willing to pay up to about £250. Weitec's get mixed reviews.
