i have a 1990 8v that is lowered 40-45mm i am running 15" alloys with 205 50 15 tyres and on lock it catches on drivers arch will fitting 195 45 15 tyres cure this

yeh should be alright as 205's a bit to wide.............if you were in north london i work in a tyre centre and you could have come over and tried before you buyed!! let us know

195/50's would be a better bet. 195/45's look lost on mk2 golfs i think. there is just much arch gapage either side of the wheel. even when lowered

i run 195/50 on 15*7 lowered on 20mm eibachs - no rubbing at all at the front. Back rubs every now and then on nasty sweeping bouncy bumps - if you know what I mean!!!
