Golf R36
« on: 21 May 2007, 15:11 »
I have not seen this posted anywhere else.

As with most of these "spy" photos no one knows how much truth there is behind it, but apparently this is the new Golf R36. Basicaly its the Passat R36 engine with a slightly diffrent R32 body on it. Link for more info.

Old news im afriad. Dont think its gonna happen. Looking more like an R36/RSI golf for the new Mark 6 will be on the cards but I guess with VW you never know! It does excite me though

Seems interesting but they have made this car to like "compete" with the Audi S3 but apparantley Audi also have plans for an RS3 but have confirmed it. If i remember correctly i remember them saying it would be a V6 Bi-Turbo and would compete against cars such as the Evo and Impreza, abit of topic sorry lol. But i think the Golf would be good hopefully have a different front to the R32 as i dont really like it...good few stuff they can change and hopefully it doesnt look like it does in them pics

Erm, look at the narrow tyres (yes, I know it is on snow, but you can still get wide winter boots).

Look at the grill from the poverty-specced Golfs.

Look at the seats from the poverty-specced Golfs.

And look at those wheels - they will never allow enough cooling for the brakes.  :nerd:  :smug:
