Just wanting some feed back,
I have a 16 v Mk2 Golf and am looking at getting a new system S/S.
I don't want a boy racer loud system.
Does anyone have any idea's ?

i have an magnex 6x4 oval, looks sweat and is nearly as silent as the o.e system!

I've just bought a 16v Mk2 myself and although it's very clean, there are a couple of mods I'm not happy with.  One being the Magnex SS system.  It sounds nice and rumbly at low revs and sounds fantastic up towards the limiter.  But at mid revs, i.e. sitting in 5th on a M'way it resonates so badly I want to rip it off with my teeth.

Looking through a couple of mags, it seems as if Jetex systems are pretty good on the not too loud front.  Any opinions?

Mine is quite as, when i brought it, full system from big boys toys ?280, there was a leaflet inside sayin the magnex make the quitest after market zorsts in the world, who knew that?

do u also know that Magnex exhaust recirculate the gases in the their systems so they are more restrictive than the original VAG item - this is to keep the noise levels down

i emailed them a while back and put their response on here

i have a mongoose s/s system and i cant fault it, cost me ?280 inc delivery and fits like a glove and has noise levels are not overpowering

Mongoose gets my vote, not to loud even with the centre box cut out .
