Any engine conversion is big money via a garage tho it's all labour time & noone works for nothing now do they! My G60 conversion cost 1500 in labour alone!

nae sh!t.

if i had the engine and ancilleries i was wanting a rough price, my deal or no deal level was at £2.5k excl engine. looks much more likely now that i'll buy a new car with a 1.8T in.

on that note, interest for my gti?

What about a very nice looking mk2 VR6 for 3k with RM's http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=85233

Or even a SC VR6 mk2 for 4k http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=83828

There's some top spec motors out there for half the price of a conversion, why reinvent the wheel.

Buy or build a Cobra. I built one. The grin will never leave your face.
350 BHP from a 5.7 V8. Nothing in the world matched it. RWD. No bolt on goodies such as cruise control, ABS or VVT. No forced induction. No chips. Just a large engine with a 4 barrel carb the size of Bulgaria. Pure motoring. Passed everthing on the road except fuel stations.
Gonna build another one when I return to the UK in the future.

QPeng do the loom for the digi and k-jet managements
Do all the fitting and plumbing yourself, buy the loom for £1200 i think, plug and play then you are done!
Just an idea of course

cool, i was having a sneaky look at qpeng earlier and thought it was just for digi.

don't know about the idea of having a standard gbox on the 1.8T though, especially when i get big turbo plans
