mk 1 questions

hi everyone just a few quick questions the car finally going for a respray at stylehaus in northampton and i need to change a few thinks before it goes in! i was going to replace the heater matrix and heater fan and also the fuel filler neck i was just wondering where i could get a heater matrix and fan from?

Check Ebay for parts, or Ebay for people breaking one, or goto a local scrappy (could use a MK2 one i suppose??)

try usual gsf or europarts, mk2 fans are different im pretty sure sadly.

very different, only a MK1 one will do. Plenty of silicone grease on the bushes may help

the matrix itself new is a fortune from most places!!! as i had to replace mine, due to the cab not having a matrix in at all when i bought it!!!
So i paid £200 for a matrix to be fitted, and a coolant leak fixed etc, and then found iout the blowers didnt work! Grrr! Went to price up blower fan motor, £100 almost! you've got to be kidding!!!
luckily for me, my other half had one that he removed from his old car which i knew worked!
Hopefully you can find one from someone that is breaking a car, just need to be certain that it worked before the car died. as due to the age of them, they are prone to failing and its a  pain when you've spent money!

Good luck, saying that.. we might still have the matrix if you cant get one closer to you Matrix is hull based! :)

cheers han for the offer but got a matrix! also got the filler neck sorted now and may have found a fan madone but if not will give you a pm! car should be out next weekend aswell so will start my project page and keep you guys updated as like the special person i am i deleted the pics of the car before it went in the garge :embarassed:
