i have a mk1 cabby 89 g reg  and im wondering what gti engine is in it  is it the mk1 8 valve or the mk2 8v is it injection or carbed

MK1 & MK2 8v engines are basically the same, it could be injection or carbed, pop the bonnet & have a look ;)
If the airbox is on top of the engine, chances are its a carb!

if there r lots ov silver braided pipes goin from rite 2 left then its injection
