Hi
I am trying to find the instructions on how to remove front door card on my grandsons Golf 1.9 Tdi Mk5 (54 plate 2004).
I found a ref to the Mk5 Maintenance & Info section - found that OK
But then it said to look under "Interior" for the DIY instruction on how to remove, but I can't find the interior section if anyone can give me a link I would be grateful

Nice looking forum

couple of simple steps...

You have to start with the door open (obviously)

Enter the car.

Select reverse.

Floor it (lampost helps).

This should remove the door card .... and perhaps the door  :embarassed:

in fairness you only specified that you wished to remove the door card. My answer supplies that information.

Front cards, pretty easy,
If you still need to know, remove the bottom 3 screws, then remove one that is parallel to the side mirrors,
Then take off the handle covers, and unscrew the 2 screws that are inside. Then take hold of the door card, and pull, and pull, and pull, and pull, and pull. and hopefully it would come off without damaging many of the plastic clips.

Thanks We found all the screws - but it was the info on the hidden ones (under the handle cover) we needed.
Thanks for all your help.
