Whyning Gearbox
« on: 29 January 2007, 17:31 »
Just noticed today the my box is slightly whyning    The car is approching the 120k mark and works fine ie. smooth gear changes ect. so any ideas what it could be?

Its just getting a bit old..... try changing the oil, use a high grade oil and all should be well. Don't do what I do with my audi Gearbox and constantly listen to the whine till it drives me mad!

Yeah, probably just old age. Did I read here somewhere that Redline MTX is good for old 'boxes?
