recon gearbox

does anyone know of anywere i can get a recon gearbox for my 8v 89 gti? in the east anglia area just dont mention big boyz toys as i payed for a gearbox over 3 weeks ago it will be ready in 5 days max sir they said 3 weeks on nothing so if i can find somewere else ill tell them to stick it and demand a refund i thought big boyz toys were one of the good guys!

Have you contacted them to find out what the delay is?

If they don't come up with the goods then check the Yellow Pages for local gearbox places. That's how I found the place that done mine.

volka part on alysham road might be able to get you a good box (wouldn't be reconned though) and they are cheap

its bugging me its been due in today for the last week im probally just a bit paranoid i payed tsr £510 for a head they fobed me of then went bust so i never got the head or the money back

Try having a word with TSR as they are now trading up and running again. Although it's different management they have said they will try to help people who have been messed about before....a long shot I know, but if you don't ask you don't get.

Damn i thought big boys toys were sposd to be pretty good, was gona order some bits from em changed my mind now

problem solved now its amazing how quick they sorted it out when i phoned asking for a refund went and got the gearbox today so im a happy chappy now even if its painted black and half of its flaked off so it shouldnt be to hard to get rid of all the black and get it looking sweet
