RE:GOLF MK3 FLOODING
« on: 27 January 2007, 17:42 »
How do all, so my golf continues to plague me with problems.

Having cleaned the throttle assembley including the injector cap, fuel pressure assembly and hosing including breather pipes the car will start fine and idle but when adding revs the engine will rise to 1500rpm then splutter and stall, making the car undriveable. This issues reminds of a flooding carburettor but my 1.6 8v mk3 is a bosch monotronic single point injection. Does anyone have a clue what might be causing this.

regards all monty.

Hi
Check the wiring to the throttle body/ injector, common for braking.
