16v downpipe is bigger bore than the 8v so grab it if he has one. you'll need an 8v manifold though.

post some pics up too, I love jettas.  :cool:

You can also use a k-jet gti dizzy as it has a better advance curve apparantly which should help out a bit

If you really wanted to you could even throw a 2.0 bottom end onto it

Ohh, sounds like i have got plenty of options with it then which is a great start.
Looking to collect it next weekend with any luck so will get plenty of pics up in here then.

I'll be on the hunt around in here too for the rest of the bits i need to pump up that 90 bhp....

When fitted with a GTI cam yes, the old GL dizzy advance curve wont match to the GTI cam.  If you do fit a GTI cam you need to make a new 6degree BTDC mark on the flywheel and time it to that to get the most out of it :)
