weitec springs wrong height apparently!!!
« on: 28 February 2007, 17:49 »
the weitec springs I've recently fitted drop my valver to a ride hieght of  290mm.

I've been in touch with Weitec UK, who have agreed that this is too low for the springs that I have fitted.
They then asked if I was carrying any extra weight, eg stereo builds etc.., which I am not.

So what could cause my valver to sit an extra 10-15mm lower than it is supposed too - Any ideas??

And please don't tell me something is broke, bent or kn@ckered on my valver

Maybe it could have had lowering caps fitted by the previous owner? They drop about 10mm i think.

its all new suspension parts - shocks, springs mounts etc.. all fitted by me.

It would be handy if you could get "heightening caps"

Well, you can get those things that go between 2 coils to stop the spring compressing, think they're made for when towing caravans! Could make for interesting cornering though!
