they had to carry extra weight because they had worked out how to get the ashtray out.

Touring Cars don't have ashtrays dumbass.

You know about touring cars too?
I was wondering Bodhi , could you tell me how to turn my lights on?  :D

Well i missed the last 20 posts due to being absent/not noticing,  so here goes the reply.

Nice one bodhi on the lotus carlton. I severely love em but the chance to get a straigh one is rare. dont fancy a new set of turbos as is possible. Nice car tho. A bit of a daddy by all accounts.

330i Sport is definitely an option to get a new-ish car with poke.

Lancia Delta- make your heard turn, but have you seen the interior - oh my god. rice paper, papier mache and egg shell construction. left hand drive too. no thanks. Nice to have for a weekend.not to own.

Golf R32 - this may be a golf forum, but i'm a bit down on it. looks dull having seen a few, great seats and steering wheel - tho a bit thick having sat in one, but it doesnt have that 'wow' factor. also if i got an S3 i would jsut spend ?15k on one as thats what you can get them for and R32's are ?22k and above. Revo chip the S3 to 270bhp for ?500 or so and muller an R32 for ?10k less. Also prefer the looks of the S3 i have to say. Nicer interior too.

Clio V6 - well its quick, but its still a clio inside with no room and looks like a barry boys car. As my missus said - you'd look like a complete tit in it.

Cheers S11 EPS on the HSV idea. I hadnt really thought about it. My old mans lives in OZ and when i went out there one of his friends let me drive his HSV. WHAT A BEAST!!!! nice. minus mpg figures but so much fun. Bit nasty on the interior and thats where the M5 is well nice.

4wd v fwd v rwd debate:

4wd: quickest drive for going point to point. loads of grip and balance.

fwd: nice and safe. thats all there is to say.

rwd: scary but great great fun. my choice but i'll probably kill myself.

The rest of the posts have inane dribble by a load of beeatches!!! nah just joking. keep up the fighting. handbags away tho....

Aye that's why I said it would make a great second car the Integrale. Then you can just look on the dodgy interior construction part of the fun. I've heard the standard stereos go pretty loud tho, so you can soon mask all the creaks and focus on thraping its knackers :)

I'd honestly say judging by your responses have a look for a decent Lotus Carlton/M5. With your budget you should be able to afford a decent Carlton if one pops up, if not you should be able to find an honest  early new shape M5 for around 25k. I've never been hugely impressed by Boxsters - there are far too many on the roads. If you want to go down the Prosche route I'm sure you could find a 993 shape 911 for your budget. And, like you say, the 330i is a good option for a nearly new car with lots of poke. Make sure it has the 18 inch M-Sport wheels tho. They look the shiznit :D
