Central Locking
« on: 14 January 2007, 14:45 »
I've just had to have my immobiliser and alarm dismantled because it wouldnt disarm. One unfortunate effect is that i now cant use central locking as it was connected to immobiliser and operated with its remote. Is there any way that i can recover this function? Danny.

Has it had elec motors fitted ? If it has I would remove them and fit the vw air system and then you will have central locking that works via the drivers door.

The central locking operated when i used remote for the immobiliser to arm or disarm the system. Since i had the immobiliser taken out the doors dont lock with the remote. I have to lock each door manually with the key. Not aware of type of locking mechanism fitted. Danny.

The central locking was wired in to the immobiliser that is why it doesnt work anymore, so to get this function to work again just fit another alarm/immobiliser.
