Scraping/Rubbing Noise!

Coming from the drivers side front wheel!

Seems to be worse when its wet, sounds like rubber being squashed, however I've had it jacked up and had the wheel off but there is nothing unusual :(

I've got a 200 mile drive home on friday and not looking forward to it scraping all the way in case it could be somthing serious!

Sorry to hijick this chick, just want to apologise about the delay in sending you the Bentley manual, just with New Year and a few other things happening, it sort of got pushed to one side. Will have it in the post in the morning for you guaranteed. Again sorry for the delay, I hate it when people take longer than they say to do things, so I don't like doing it myself.

check round the back of the engine, just above where the driver side driveshaft connects to the engine.  I had a dust cover fall off the gearbox here, and it sat on my driveshaft casung a nasty scraping noise.
