Autoexpress Edition 30 review
« on: 12 January 2007, 17:29 »
Who the f*** wrote that online review for Auto Express...#?

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/carreviews/roadtests/204508/volkswagen_golf.html#review

spot the mistakes....

I'll give you a hint...
the Edition 30 is not £20k
it doesn not have 200bhp
apparently 'there are various trim options inside' - someone let Doc know as I presume one of the various interior options includes full leather seats
and what has happenned to the standard 18" pescaras?  they are now 17"

Autoexpress?  Autotw*ts more like.

Looks to me like a GTi review under the Edition 30 headline. As least the list price quoted at the top seems about right.

Funny how some magazines say avoid the 18 inch wheels (Autotrader) whilst others (Evo) say you should make sure you get them.

To be honest, i question whether any of these magazines "reviewing" the car have actually driven the car.  All of them have been very vague, useless, inaccurate, dull and boring.

Exactly - the article is obviously written for the GTI, but some moron at Auto Express has lazily/ignorantly stuck a GTI Edition 30 heading on.  Probably thinks there's no difference!     It just annoys me that so many Edition 30 'reviews' have been written by hacks who obviously have never driven the car.
