2 wires of side of airbox?

Looking to fit an induction cone this weekend but was wondering what the 2 wires attached to the side of the airfilter housing are/do?

It's called "inlet manifold temp sensor" but if you buy the correct kit this will include a location peg for this...don't just buy a simple cone as you need this sensor to work

After a closer inspection these two wires look more like vacuum pipes, no sign of any cable or sensor there.

One of them is connected to the throttle body and the other just went into my old air box, just remove both and use the bolt supplied and screw it into the connection near the throttle body.
