Hi M8

I got one as a company car - its very good, much better than a 140. in gear acceleration is fantastic.

as for mpg I get about 42, but on a run it gets up 47-48ish

I have done 15k in it since september , the only problem I've had with it was an airbag warning light coming on, but my dealer fixed that ok (and cleaned and hoovered the car!..nice)

I would rather have a  GTi but our company wont allow it as its much dearer.

06 Golf GT TDi 170 - a GTi wannabe!

Had mine for 8 weeks now, never looked back, its fantastic!

Overall mpg is 44 mpg for me (not bad seeing as I only have short journeys during the week, but he gets a good run out at weekends).

Don't really pay much attention to the fuel tbh as I was just used to a tiny tank in the Lupo, the GT's tank is virtually twice the size!!

Engine is nice and quiet and the exhaust has a nice sound, being as its on a derv! And its a fantastic torquey engine with plenty of grunt through the whole rev range imo

Ride is nice and comfy too even on 18's

Looked at one of these recently.
The interior's a little disappointing for an £18k+ hatch, no ?? I was expecting something a little closer to the GTI for that money.
And it needs lowering.

I toyed with getting the TDI170, but then thought to myself I'd regret not getting the GTI for the rest of my life, everytime i saw one overtaking me!

Do yourself a favour and get the GTI
56 GTI, 18" Monza's, Ipod Prep, Winter Pack, 5 Door, Diamond Black
