80mm too low?!
« on: 23 January 2004, 00:14 »
I.ve had my mk2 lowered 80mm for a few months now, dose any one know if this will affect my drive shafts or gear box/diff?

I did own a 295 once (stupid me) and lowered it 40mm and it ate drive shafts nearly monthly!!!!

I'm not sure if its good to go that low. I wouldn't recommend it personally.

You need to watch your O/S drive shaft catching on the inner wing. Check for any signs of catching.

The near side inner gater has split, but i replaced it and is still fine!

Also, i think my top mounts have gone cos when i go over a bumpy patch it feels like the whole frount end is rayylin, any ideas?
