A PD 130 is GT spec so you don't get the GTi suspension, it has a similar interior but no wood trim, generally the PD 150 is GTi spec so you will have better handling. I have a 130 myself and have not driven a 150 so cannot comment in detail but general opinion is that the 130 has less lag but runs out of power lower in the rev range, where as the 150 develops the power higher in the rev range.
Is your Pug a 90bhp engine? - Parkers quote your torque figure at around 200Nm. The Golf is probably a bit heavier (around 100kgs) but with at least 40bhp extra and a major torque increase (310 Nm/228 lb-ft for the 130) (320 Nm/236 lb-ft for the 150) you should more than notice the difference.
When buying, remember and check the data sticker under the carpet in the boot. The 130 model will state 96kW, 110kW for the 150 model - just in case someone is trying to selling something that is not described correctly.
Both models have the 6 speed gearbox as standard.
