When a new member registers could they be directed straight to a Rules section and helpful hints??
Or a stage in the registration that makes them read stuff before they get in?
Like the "I am over 18" things you see on some forums.

maybe have the rules n regs up before ya register , like anyone will pay much more attention to it

Nah not the Rules and Regs coz that just bores everybody!

Perhaps a bit of a guide to the site, like telling them that useful info is in stickied threads at the top of each section.
And direct them to the Newbies section to go say Hi etc.

you know me, anything that prevents the same old questions being repeated time and time again has got to help. Would need to be carefully done but there must be a way to do it.

I actually didnt mean Rules in the first post and I dont know why I typed it!
What I was thinking of was Guides. Like a quick guide around the site and maybe where to ask all those silly questions!

Why is it so difficult?
I know it can be done because its done on the RTTS forum. There you are directed straight to a FAQ's section upon registering!

So why not here?
