MK 2 Dash
« on: 09 October 2006, 15:14 »
Hi guys and girls Newbie here,

Just got a Mk2 with a few digs and holes from tweeters etc and if I have to change it would like something more modern, how difficult are these conversions (within the VW family)?

I've had a good look through the forum for threads on this but have drawn a blank, a link to a previous thread would be great?

there arn't any that are bolt in, all require chopping & fettling to fit.  Switches & dash clocks also need splicing in as the MK2 dash plugs are unique.

Though if your MK2 is a post 90 with the hazard switch on the steering column, you can pull the dash & clock loom from the donor car and they'll plug into your fusebox.

MK3 & Corrado dashes are the favourites atm :)

The blue would have matched that lovely interior you had.
