Morego
« on: 20 December 2006, 23:57 »
So now i have the modding bug, do i go for morego or revo? morego now have a 270 bhp option at a cost of £1799 including vat & fitting whereas Revo do the remap to 260 (i think) for £499 + vat.  Any thoughts/advice most appreciated. cheers, john.

Isn't your car like a week old or soemthing? I'd wait until it's done at least 5000 miles and fairly well bedded down.

Morego have gotten good reviews.

Neaty - i think for the cost you also get a Milltek stainless steel exhuast system and some other goodies

Morego= 270bhp upgrade and stainless exhaust and 'tweaked suspension' (new springs etc?)
Just received a back issue of EVO where they test and rave about the morego 250 conversion  Apparently you have to resist the temptation of caning the car because the 30% inrease in power, coupled by the revised geometry is so addictive. So it's all good with 250, imagine it must be even better with the 270 conversion. Evo rating of 5 stars

Go for it.  I'm considering it myself.  Having come from a 320bhp P1 I need more power asap.  I've only done 1400 miles in my GTI so might wait a while though.

I forgot to mention, my gti is an 06 plate, i'm second owner and the car now has 5100 on the clock. I've previously had a remapped Seat leon cupra R, chipped to 270bhp, full miltek including a high flow cat and carbon induction kit, the difference was incredible.  I  reckon the morego 270 conversion will totally transform the already superb gti.
