Couple of tyres worn, but thy got 3mm so.. Steering column top bearing slightly worn? Play in steering wheel, isnt this the sme on all mk2s?

Nearside and offside front brake hose slightly deteriorated, any easy cure or owt? my mate said rub em down and underseal coat them..

Offside rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movemnt, what would i do there, to sort it, someone said its a total b!tch to change them, dropping out the rear axle etc called for?

Offside front shock absorber, light misting of oil, nearside front shock slight corrosion to casing.. jsut a rubber end cap that can be swapped?
Just looking for some info no these point,s, as theyre the only ones there, the rest of the boy was perfect

Tyres must be pretty close to the wear indicators so are about due for replacing.

Brake hoses cost sod all. Piece of advice, never accept a lift off your mate.

Bush - Wait until it fails the test next year.

A shock with a slight leak will soon turn into a shock with a major leak. New shocks are the answer.

I think his mate was talking about metal lines, obviously you cant sand and paint rubber hoses
Rear bush isn't an easy job, if you want OEM they'll need to be pressed in by a garage, but poly can be fitted easily, once the old ones are out (thats another story!)
Cant service shocks really, just shove on a new pair

I'd get new tires ASAP.  I got advisories on mine the other week but left it cos i was a bit skint, ended up 3 days later losing grip majorly and spinning into a ditch.  Better to splash out on new tires than run the risk of funking your car up

Got a quote for some Berum(sp?) tyres, including fititng and balancing etc.. on buy 1 get 1 free, for all 4 (they are cracking a bit on sides and worn slight, so all round replacement might be the best idea.. as they came with the car and the state that was in.. well..)

£114 approx from memory. all 4 on a but 1 get 1 free. 155 13's, sound reasonable?

Barum's... aren't they National Tyres mid range ones? I'd steer (lol) clear of them tbh and stick with good rubber. A good set of tyres is money well spent.
Try larger motorsport dealers, (like Demon Tweeks, who I use for all my tyres) they usually offer top class rubber at really low prices... tyres are a thing where if you sell loads of them, you get bigger discounts. So, the more high performance tyres a place sells, the cheaper they are... and large motorsport dealers shift loads of them.
Something like that anyway, but tbh I'd just stay clear of the Barums and pay for some good tyres.

Blimey, lookign at the prices, probably not possible for me, even £114 is a stretch for me to be fair, i'm an 18year old student on the tail end of me budget, well, i never even saw the budget, that went out the window long ago with everything we have bought and done.. and that was to get it back to stock look to 

I only use it for daily driving, and city driving.. would they be any good for that? my dad has them on his cav and seemed happy enough
