Audi TT shift knob
« on: 08 January 2004, 18:16 »
Just a question. I want to replace the shift knob in my car but I don't want to stick with something from the VAG Family. I liked the knob that was in my TT but i don't know if it is the same thread size as a Golf. Never had it off. The 180bhp front drive cars are 5 speed with the same pattern as a Golf. Anyone tried this. I already have the TT pedals may as well have a matching knob. :)

eeven if the thread is wrong, you could tap it or use a grub screw through a small threaded hole to hold. Its alway nice when your knob looks good ;)
I don't own this anymore - I just can't be arsed to change the picture

right you are mate. just hate to spend the coin on a TT knob and have to drill it. Thinking about lopping an inch off the shifter anyway so i could recut it to anything i wanted to.

only thing better that having a nice looking knob is getting it polished up.  ;D
