MFSW + Paddle control

Hi Guys

I have a 06 GT TDI with DSG and was wondering if I could fit the MFSW with Paddles?
I spoke  to a tech at my local VW garage and he said i would have to reprogram the Gear box for the Paddles?
I have also been told that the 05 MFSW is better because it has the telephone control buttons on which allows you do do more than the 06 one?

I would welcome your advice on any of these matters..

mines an 05 with telephone button , but does bugger all cus i dont have a phone
