Hi,

I'm bringing my old Golf back to life slowly (it would be great to know of any good resources for parts), most the exterior is sorted, I've filled all dents, replaced any neccessary panels and resprayed the lot, its just the engine now. Its not starting, so I've pretty much put it down to the fuel pump, I stripped the injector pump off the bottom and cranked the engine, the lift pump is doing its just just fine. I connected the injector pump to an external 12v supply outside the car, and its whirring, but not actually moving any fuel, so I can only assume its dead. When it was all connected, there was 0 fuel pressure at the injector lines.

Now, where can I get a cheap priced compatible fuel pump, mine is the Bosch which sits inside the housing with the accumulator on one side and the filter on the other (as below)...I was thinking this one off eBay would slot in, even though its a 16v pump - just take it out the housing. I've stripped the fuel pump from the housing, which is why the photo is confusing, and the housing is just sat under the bonnet..

Ebay pump (not mine)

My pump...

I'm dead new to Golfs so don't go nuts at once. If anyone here has a fuel pump they can sell I would love it :D
