but seriously... I paid over ?5000 for mine last March... Id get ?3000 and its not even a year later...

I did have alot of probs with the car, so b4 u say *DONT BUY FROM VW GARAGES*... they spent over ?1500 on parts for my car... inc Injectors and sum fuel management thing...  and the good ol' rotor arm + Distributor cap ... 10p parts... lol ... ive had three distributor caps in 10 month!!!

Well just goes to show that newer doesnt mean better. Sounds like you've had more problems than me and mines 20 years old. But then I am a lady driver

I just think that the older the v dubs get they seem to keep a value simply for their 'cult' status. Thats why I said selling at a show would maybe show some rewards.

Sounds like maybe you just got unlucky with yours. Is the problem sorted now or 'wait and see'?
