AAAARGH!! HELP 16v Cold Stalling Problem

with the ISV disconnected and car warm adjust the idle via idle screw & set it to 1000rpm then reconnect the ISV

Well it wasn't THAT cold this morning (that's when it does it most)

BUT

Did what you said and set the idle to 1000 with  the car warm and the ISV disconnected

AND

This morning IT DIDN'T STALL.......YIPEE!

Not counting my chickens yet until I've tried it a few times but it SEEMS to have worked so THANKS VERY MUCH! 

What exactly have I done to change things? Just for my own info.
