Just copy and paste it mate!! Saves all the typing!!!!

just put my gearbox back in today after getting it back from a very nice man who totally recon it:beerchug: :beerchug: went for a test drive, everything perfect,15 mins into journey, running as if off a cylinder:zx11: no power and spluttering, nasty smell and smoke when i popped the bonnet, couldnt c anything wrong, looked under neath and the CAT was glowing red:zx11: :zx11: and smokin!!!!! with not a very nice burnning smell(im sure its totaly fooked now)changed the usual suspects, leads, plugs, cap, dis, rotor arm still the same.it will rev clean when at a steady rev, tick over is lumpy,as soon as you floor the pedal or rev it starts to run lumpy:confused:  was fine before i removed gearbox:mad: any ideas? ive had a look around engine bay, pulled and prodded, plugged and un plugged and cant see anything a miss.will a snap-on diagnostic pick anything up??one thing i can say as it gets worse as it warms up. its a 1997 2.0 8v gti.dont fancy takein to a main stealer, when my mate has a snap-on:approve: :approve:

Though it doesnt make much sense TBH!!

well all sorted   got a diagnostic done this morning which didnt pull any  codes, well bar the ones where plugs had been disconnected to try and find the fault   anyway wot did it end up being i hear you ask  feckin plug leads    just goes to show, thought i had done somethin wrong, trapped a wire, pulled a plug or maybe wrecked the exhaust o2 sensor when remove/fitting gearbox.
