Calling all Rallye owners

Hi I'm Alex. I'm 23 from Manchester and just joined the site. I'm looking to buy a Rallye and I'm going to view this one this weekend
http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/101083.htm
Just want to know if there's anything that I should especially be looking for when viewing this car and what people think of it?
Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex
Well done on deciding this!
I think this was at the Rallye show at the weekend. It was in mint condition.
How much history does it have?
This would be the second Red one on the site, we need one more colour!

Good to hearÂÂÂ
It says it has full service history. E-mailed the guy about it and he said that the engine transplant was done by the previous owners, at the mid fifty k's. The owner was an auto electrician and his father a mechanic. The car was then mapped at Stealth Racing. The engine was changed because the supercharger went bang on the original engine, so rather than replace it, they ripped the original engine out, sold it, and replaced it with the 20VT. The owner says the work is of a very high standard and that he had the car independently checked by a local VW specialist and no problems were found.

ive seen this car up close and personal several times, cant fault it.. its just a question of how much you can get off the asking price
oh and if you havent already, get an insurance quote first. remember these cars are group 17 before you even start adding on mods like a turbo engine transplant.
