Boot Space

Does anyone have the answer??

To minimise the amount of boot space taken up in my mk3 golf I am thinking of installing 2 subs in either side.

First of all will it matter that they are directly facing each other, ie will they cancel each other out, and if so is it possible to do some kind of isobaric set up on them?

Secondly how does one go about installing a sub in the side panel of the boot, do you somehow have to force a normal sub box wedge into the space and then mdf around it to make it flush with the top trim.  Or can I just blank the side off however I see fit and cut a 12" hole in it?  Will this make the sub sound any worse bearing in mind that a wedge is supposed to get the most out of a sub due to its slanted back and internal volume.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated or any pictures of anyone elses subs mounted in this way would be good.

they shouldnt cancel each other out. If 2 subs are in a single and non divided box then they will cancel each other out.
