headlights & alloys
« on: 23 August 2006, 20:24 »
can someone tell me if gti headlights will fit onto a 1.4 mk3 golf? If they do fit will they work because i dont know if the wireing loom is different or not?

Also the standard on the wheels says r13 so they are obviously 13 inch wheels, but what size would i require? Would it also be 13 inch wheels? I know you can have slightly bigger ones but what size looks good and does it make any difference to the speedo reading?

And last but least is there any way of making the clutch lighter?

i dont think gti head lights are any different to other mk3 models, if you mean getting after market head lights they should fit fine. as for wheels i think you can go up to 17" on mk3's without much trouble! as for the speedo it may put it out by a few mph but it wouldnt be that much tbh!

if you keep the rolling diameter as close to original it won't noticabley effect the speedo

You can use this link to check the overall rolling radius of any wheel and tyre combo you like
