4motion clutch

hi all just got a 4motion was looking at some related posts and someone mentioned a funny clutch mine appears to slip in 1st but not any other gear still goes like sh*t off a shovel from standing is this slipping normal is it the funny clutch that was mentioned any info would be great cheers

I konw the post is bit old but the clutch should be no different than a normal clutch it may be just the cable is at its full extension, there is enuff power in them that you do not really need 1st gear especially round town 2nd will suffice, I just had hassle with mine thinking it was the haldex unit as it made a scuffing sound when easing off the gas but just had a service and they told me the front driveshaft was broken and the haldex unit just helped it to continue driving making it rear wheel only.

HOpe you dont have that happen cos it cost around 250+vat and mines only done 29K!
