4 lamp front grill Q

Hi all,
I put an eyebrow spoiler on the front of my mk 2 gti last night and notice that the whole grill seems to be a little too forward of the end of the bonnet. My golf is a pre 90's spec gti with post 90 big bumpers and arched etc. Is there a difference between pre 90's 4 lamp grills and post 90's at all. its rather annoying as you can see where Ive attached the eyelid spoiler but in a lot of photos of other Mk2's it seems flush with the bonnet.Any help and light that can be thrown on this would be much appreciated

Both mine where like yours. I think you'll find the ones where you don't see the fixings have been trimmed and bonded on rather than screwed.

ok so it's relatively 'normal' then.I might have to look into sorting that out, thanks for your quick replies peeps
