Its like anything mate, its only worth what someone will pay you and with fuel prices and interest rates on the up I think it all adds up  :undecided:

I know mate but last year I had 1500 to spend on a nice valver and they were all dogs, now you can pick up a minter up from about £600 I might as well keep it and store it for a bit until the world sorts itself out or it becomes uber rare, or I could just keep driving it at weekends. I'm not selling it that cheap though!

Classic example I'd have ripped his arm off

I think hanging on to it (if you can) is the best bet as prices do vary from time to time and the MK 2 market might just be a bit flat at the moment ! I think ebay has had a huge effect on the prices of cars of all ages, good if your a buyer and a b!tch if your selling !

It's always like that. When I tried to buy an 8v they were all sh!theaps being sold by dodgy geezers so I gave up on the idea altogether and bought a 2.0 Sierra. A couple of years ago we tried to get a Mondeo and wanted to spend about 2 grand. Autotrader was crammed with them until we wanted one and they all disappeared.

Sod's law dictates it I think.

Wrong wheels and mine's Calypso not snot but it's close enough

its good news that these are hitting a low.  it wont be long before they start picking up value like the mk1's  i reckon next winter buy 2 and hide them for five-ten years.
