I worked for the company that makes the air-con system for the Phaeton. During development, there was a plan to include a feature which reversed the fans when you unlocked the car on a hot day, removing the hot air from the ducts. This would ensure that when you started the engine, only cold air would come out instead of the obligatory burst of heat...
Just wondered if this ever happened?

"ignore the peasants!" -  ILMFAO Thanks dude - your right but it adds fuel to their little fire and gives me a giggle!

PLUS they'd sh1t if they saw the propertys we own!

The fact we do not  show pictures of our other cars and pictures of our "propertys " does not mean we have not got them!!!!!! This is  golf gti forum not a "see what I'VE got, mines is bigger than yous"

If we all kept the chat to gti's and r32's then there would not be a problem!!!!!!!!

Oh do shut up.

Maybe it works with the solar roof (which mine did not have)

Doc, yes, I remember some mention of the solar roof... While I'm on my soap box, the company was developing a system which would inject oxygen into the cabin to reduce driver fatigue. Not quite sure how it could tell if you were tired though!? (I think this was for markets with pollution/smog sensors, where the recirc is operated automatically)
