After a serious nights thining about it.

I can (welll not yet but will be able to)afford a 1.8 or 2.0 jobbie so might settle for one of them and buy a g60 later on when i have a good job. As i'll struggle to run it.

+ i dont trust mysdelf going from a 90BHP car to something nearer 200 BHP.

I've searched the net many times any one know the 0-60's in the various Corrados?

Corrado forum might be a good start.  I'd do some research too as some of the raddo G60's don't seem to be the flavour for the enthusiast. I'm not sure what the insurance group these will be but the VR6 is the one to go for apparently.
......now officially dubless.

I've looked on there mate! Can't find any.

I think i'll go witha 2.0 16v, same to insure as a g60 though..then maybe sort out an engine swap (Vr6 superchargd  )when i can insure it nicely!

G60 is perfectly fine you get just as many singin there praises over the vr6 as you do the other way around.

1.8 and 2.0 16v arent much differnet to each other performence wise the 2.0 has a bit more torque.

I had a red rado g60 cost a fortune on petrol and parts are expensive for corrados plus the g60 doesnt ahve a fantastic 0-60 due to not hittin 60 in second, sounds better than the vr6 though

If you want to have a play around with it, I recon there is probably more that you can do with a G60... although you do have the uncertanty that is a 2nd hand charger.

My mate used to complain that his 0-60 wasnt great in his g60 'cos he hit the rev limit in 1st before he blinked.  Think it was sitting at 200break and 220 ft/lb torque.

Personally I would go for a VR6 though ;o)

They won't insure me on a VR6 - neither can i afford to buy one.

At the moment it's either 1.8 16v or 2.0 16v.
