Fault codes
« on: 07 July 2006, 23:03 »
Hi just used the hand held fault code reader from gendan and its given me 3 fault codes which i cleared and then came back.

The codes are:

16556 bank1, fuel measuring system to rich

16486 Air mass Meter signal too low

4480 bank 1, mixture adaptation air(add) system too lean

What should i check/replace from these codes?

Cheers

These codes can mean a few things, probably your MAF or lambda :undecided:

I;ve had "16556 bank1, fuel measuring system to rich" appear twice in the plast 3 weeks, frist time the garrage cleared it and it took 3 weeks to come back up. They have no idea what could cause this, I've read that it could be an O2 sensor failure or intermitent fault.

I had a new MAF fitted a few weeks ago so I doubt it's that playing up. any ideas?
