Hi there, just wondering what my car is worth? Any sensible opinions?

Has anyone got any idea atall of the value of my car? Even a ballpark figure?

this probably won`t help much but my own opinion. all the little extras i.e brake light in rear spoiler,leather gearstick gaitor, alloy door pins, silver dials etc etc which have obviously took time and money to do, won`t add a great deal to the car as people will be more interested by the engine and general bodywork of your golf. the car is only worth what people are willing to pay. some people may want to pay £2.5k some £3.5k some £4.5k advertise it somewhere round those figures and see what interest you get.

Its not actually for sale, just curious to see what others think its worth, I wouldn't entertain selling it for £4.5k, simply wouldn't be worth me selling it for that, I have a two inch thick pile of receipts!

I appreciate what you are saying though about the little things being unimportant to the value...

Might be worth getting in touch with your insurance company and get them to give you a guaranteed value in case you have an accident, at least you'll have an insurance guide to what its worth
