Strong fumey smell

Now it's hot I want to drive with the window open, but when I do I get a really strong smell of fumes. It's particularly apparant on hard acceleration (not surprisingly). The exhaust is fine, and the mani fold I think. What might the reason be?

Hmmm, dunno - I'll take a look. Would that affect anything else, because the car drives well and is pretty economical?
