As these can be picked up off of egay for pretty cheap amounts, what are the advantages/disadvantages of using these on an 8v GTI engine?
I would be looking to do a 2.0 2e bottom end swap and have a ported/polished head with a Schrick 276 Cam and a Powrflow 2.5" exhaust system.
I know Throttle bodies need a Different ECU system, and I would probably choose a Megasquirt ECU anyways...
The main things i need to know are:
If there is anyone on here that is able to machine an inlet manifold for either GSX-R Throttle Bodies or Hayabusa Throttle Bodies to an 8v head and how much it would roughly cost.
What would the Torque/BHP increases be (roughly) with the TBs?
